My Honest Experience of Keurig K-Supreme
Let’s be honest, I am not one of those strong coffee lovers who grinds beans at sunrise and talks about mouthfeel. I just want a good cup of coffee without tasting it like brown water. Here is my honest opinion about this Keurig K-Supreme coffee machine.
First Impressions
When I set-up the K-Supreme and saw the coffee machine, it looked clean and modern. I appreciate this machine because it was not huge for my kitchen. Also I liked that feature where I could move the water tank to the side or the back. This feature gave me some flexibility when figuring out where to put it on.
First Brew
At first I filled the water reservoir which is super easy, by the way. Then I popped my first K-Cup, I decided on a dark roast. When I pressed the power button I noticed it heats up in under a minute. This is the moment when K-Supreme totally impressed me. To be mentioned I’ve used older models before and those took their sweet time.
After that I saw the Strong button and thought, maybe I should try it now so without delay I hit it, choose the 8 oz cup size, and wait for the result.
And the result is just wow… I’m not kidding man. The aroma of the coffee hit me before the mug was even full. And about the taste, when I took my first sip, It was significantly smoother and full of flavor than any Keurig I’ve tried before.
I think the MultiStream Technology they talk about? It’s just marketing fluff but I was wrong. You can actually tell that the coffee is brewing more smoothly.
Iced Coffee
After a few hours I tried the iced coffee setting of the Keurig K-Supreme. though I brewed directly over ice using just a medium roast pod. I was open-minded with reservations, but it worked unexpectedly well. Interestingly the flavor didn’t get watered down, and the coffee stayed bold even with the ice melting just a little.

What I Didn’t Like
This Keurig K-Supreme is really cool but here are some points when I didn’t like this coffee maker.
- The most annoying thing is this machine doesn’t come with a reusable K-Cup filter, which I wish it did since I occasionally like to use my own ground coffee.
- There is no temperature control. However the default temperature felt just right to me.
- One more annoying thing in this coffee maker is you can’t use carafe-sized pods. However it’s not a big deal for me but some people want to brewing larger batches.

Seriously, it makes me a little disappointed that the machine doesn’t come with a reusable K-Cup filter. I need to buy one separately. But for the price of the K-Supreme, I thought it should be included.
Temperature Control
The biggest problem with the coffee machine is it does not have any temperature control. The default temperature is fine for some people, but I know a lot of coffee lovers want extra hot or cool coffee. A temperature control setting would give you the power to control temperature as you want.
Touchscreen Display
Nowadays the technology is too high so if they add a touchscreen instead of the bottom then it will be cool. I think adding a small digital display or touchscreen would make the machine more user friendly.
Built-in Water Filter Indicator
One of the biggest minus points in this K-Supreme is that it does not have any indicator to remind you when it is time to change water. It’s a small thing, but it would be helpful for everyone.

One of the most important things about this machine that I really appreciate is its low maintenance. Also it does not take much time and effort to keep it clean.
As for maintenance, cleaning the machine is simple. The drip tray is removable, the pod holder is also easy to wipe down, and descaling is required every 3–6 months depending on the water quality that you use.
