Review Of The Delonghi Magnifica Evo
I have put my review here about this machine. And I have discussed it in two parts.
Things I Liked About This Machine
After unpacking it, I must say that the compact design is attractive, as the makers say. After starting the machine, I switched on the steam knob and cleaned the interior of this machine with steamed water. Before this, I filled up the water tank, which seemed really well-built and did not leak.
Iced coffee was the first drink that I was excited about, and I made it. I put the beans in the grinder. The beans were freshly roasted, and now my job was to observe. It started grinding and after that, it was preparing the grind and took time for a few seconds to tamp it.
After that, it started brewing espresso. Then, I cooled it down for a few minutes and poured ice to finish it. I loved the aroma and its taste.
And about crema, it was satisfying. The crema was thick and stable for quite a long time.
Then I tried the steam wand. This was really impressive. It did make stable microfoam, and overall, the steaming process was good.
This time, I clicked the intense icon while making espresso to get a strong flavor. I was able to make a good cappuccino at the end, and the texture was really smooth and fluffy.
The espresso also tasted good, aromatic, and intense.
Along with the intense icon, I also clicked the high-temperature button, which was 69 degrees Celsius. Then, I washed it again through running hot water.
Things De’Longhi Can Improve
The very first thing I want to discuss is the steam wand. It is nice to work with, but it can only move to the left and right side. This is a limitation.
Even though the milk texture was good and the foams were also good, it was not the best. But compared to its price, the features do a really good job. Regarding the temperature adjustment, the temperature differences were not that great to me.
The lowest is 60, the middle is 64, and the highest one is 69 degrees Celsius. The grinder also performs really well, but it can be noisy to some people. The last one concerns cleaning.
Iced coffee option is a little bit questionable to me. Because after brewing the espresso, I had to cool it down. So basically, it just brew a shot of espresso just like other shots.
All things are good, but it needs to be cleaned regularly. That might be worrisome for people who are always in a hectic situation.
Cleaning Of De'Longhi Magnifica Evo
The cleaning process is easy. Some parts are removable and dishwasher-safe. It is a plus point.
The removable drip tray and coffee filter also need to be washed. The coffee filter is removable and completely washable.
However, it needs to be cleaned regularly. As it is made of stainless steel, fingerprints can be observable. A damp cloth will work for this.
The rest of the process is descaling. Just put the solution into the water tank and press the descaling button. It will stop flashing when the process is done.
The water filter also needs to be replaced after 2 months. But it depends on the person how regularly they use and what kind of water they use.
